Donations

He sat down opposite the treasury and observed how the crowd put money into the treasury. Many rich people put in large sums. A poor widow also came and put in two small coins worth a few cents. Calling his disciples to himself, he said to them, ‘Amen, I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all the other contributors to the treasury. For they have all contributed from their surplus wealth, but she, from her poverty, has contributed all she had, her whole livelihood

This timeless story reminds us that giving isn’t measured by the amount, but by the heart behind it. When we give to support our church, we’re investing in something far greater than ourselves—we’re partnering with God to spread hope, serve our community, and support missions that touch lives both here at home and around the world.

Every contribution, regardless of size, helps us care for our brothers and sisters in Christ, share the Gospel, and be the hands and feet of Jesus in practical, meaningful ways. Rather than viewing giving as an obligation, we have the opportunity to participate in God’s work and watch our faithfulness multiply into Kingdom impact. Just as the widow gave what she could with joy and trust, we too can give cheerfully, knowing that God uses our generosity to transform lives and strengthen His church.
